FERC Approves Higher Winter Water Levels - Changes Rule Curve

Today, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved a 2011 request from Alabama Power to change the winter pool level from 480 Feet Martin Datum to 483 Feet Martin Datum. Additionally, the request contained a variance to possibly keep the level higher after Labor Day each year if there were sufficient weather conditions to support it.
