We fell in love with this lot because it has year-round deep water, but it's at the end of a cove where you can swim all day and not worry about boats going by. We designed the house around the dream of a great family and friends getaway. There are 5 bedrooms that have king-sized beds, 4 of which have private bathrooms. There are 2 bunk rooms, one with 8 twin beds and one with 2 queens and 2 twins. There is one more bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed. 6 of the bedrooms have amazing views of the lake. The large kitchen should easily meet your needs with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, a double oven, and a microwave. There are two living spaces with fireplaces and another space for ping pong with bar seating and a wet bar. There is also a theater room. The dining room table can seat 5 or 6, and a kitchen bar top seats 3 more. A second living room downstairs also has satellite TV, a couch, and three game tables (foosball, ping-pong, and mini pool). Outside you'll find decks on both levels looking over the beautiful lake. The main level deck has adirondack rocking chairs, our gas grill, and a hammock for some extra relaxation. Still not relaxed enough? Find your way to the lower deck and hop in the hot tub that seats 4, also looking out over the water. Across the gravel driveway you'll find an outdoor patio area with bench seating, a fire pit, four parking spaces, and a landscape timber path down to the water with a handrail for easier climbing. Fishermen are welcome to use our single-slip dock with year-round deep water. The closest launch point we're aware of is the public ramp on highway 48 (next to the south marina). A few notes up front before you decide to book with us: A quick note of caution for those with limited mobility - although we've built the path down to the water as gradual as possible, there are about 50 steps. Pros and cons to being on the deepest part of the lake.....we get to enjoy year-round water, but we do have to walk a little bit to get down to it! Please note that while our cabin has an indoor fireplace, it is decorative only (not operable for safety reasons). For those looking to build a fire, the outdoor fire pit is ready and waiting for you! We do not provide firewood, so you'll need to bring your own. !! Quick caution for 2021. We are building a detached garage in front of the house. The driveway will always be useable. Work will not be visible from the lake side, and won't interfere with your enjoyment of the lake and dock. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We hope to be completed by mid April. Come share our well appointed lake home on a quiet cove. We’re on the south end of Lake Wedowee in Hunter Bend subdivision. Our location keeps us away from holiday and weekend boat traffic. You can feel safe to swim quietly in the deep water off our dock (20 feet deep at the end of the dock during high water, 35 feet deep in the middle of the cove) while only minutes from the main channel, big water and great boating. Lake Wedowee is renowned for it’s fabulously clean water, the result of being created from a deep river channel through rocky terrain. There is no orange staining typical of many southern lakes. The house faces northeast, and even in hot weather the deck and dock are in the shade most the day, offering cool and pleasant afternoons and evenings, while getting good early and midday sun if you want to tan. Our cove is residential and has several year round residents. We ask our guests respect the peace and quiet our residents enjoy. Loud outdoor parties are not appropriate. The home has three bedrooms, each with their own full bath. Plus a powder room on the main. The master is on the main and has a King bed. The two lower level bedrooms have two queen beds each. And again, each bedroom has it’s own full bath. The kitchen comes fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, both a Keurig and drip coffee maker, toaster, and filtered water through the refrigerator, (we’re already on city water, and the quality is excellent). Crock Pot. Sous Vide. There is tons of high quality cookware. Everything you'll need to cook up something special. Plus a stainless steel gas grill. Lots of wine glasses and very good quality dishware. The house has high speed internet, (about 18mbps, adequate for streaming TV) free wifi, 3 smart TV's, and a SONOS sound system on the main. The upper deck has heavy, quality deck chairs and a stainless steel gas grill. Propane is provided. There are also good quality deck chairs on the gazebo and at the firepit, and extra chairs below the deck. There is a boat launch literally across the street. The nearest marina is less than 15 minutes away on the water… just past the 48 bridge. They have gas pumps open seven days during the summer months. 6 days in the fall and winter. A pontoon boat is available for rent from the marina. But just one. And they require it be returned daily. Town is a 15 minute drive away. There are two grocery stores, a liquor store, and a few other convenience stores. Restaurants are admittedly scarce. About Lake Wedowee— Lake Wedowee, technically “RL Harris Reservoir” was created in the 80’s by Alabama Power. It’s 10,000 acres (1/4 the size of Lake Lanier north of Atlanta or Lake Martin near Montgomery) and was formed from a deep river channel of the Tallapoosa River. The water is very deep, and very clear. At our south end of the lake, hundred foot depths are the norm. Alabama Power lowers the water level about 8’ staring in early October until late April. It does affect the appearance of the shoreline and the utility of many docks. Our dock remains floating, but the access ramp is quite steep. But the lake in the winter is special. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Come join us! We are very flexible with scheduling. First come, first served.

The balcony, upper-level porch (unscreened) and carefully designed places within the home are a delight to sit back in a comfy chair, sip your drink of choice and enjoy the lake. The upper balcony has two picnic tables as well as chairs with gas grill (gas provided). The lower-level porch (unscreened) has a hammock swing with chairs and tables to sit back and listen to the birds chirp. If you like smoking meat, a giant smoker is on the property. Feel free to bring your favorite flavor of smoking wood and have fun! It’s perfect for vacations or football weekends to watch your favorite teams by the water. One canoe and one “John Boat” (similar to a canoe) are included for you to paddle around on the beautiful water. Dock is attached for you to swim around and sunbathe. Beach towels are included for your stay. You are welcome to bring your own boat or pontoon and tie up to our dock. You’ll have access to the private community boat ramp. We are retired restaurant owners so the house has pictures of some of our menu items which we took out of our old business. They brighten up the home and will probably make you hungry! ?? We leave our Christmas tree up all year long because hey, every day is like Christmas morning at the lake (also great for weekends around the holidays!). The main floor of the house has a large open room with high ceilings. The kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances is fully equipped for your stay. Everything you need to whip up a great meal is there. Large gas grill is just outside on the porch. A breakfast room that’s perfect for breakfast or playing cards and boardgame while you look out over the lake. Across from the kitchen is a full bathroom. The dining room seats 10+. A sofa and flatscreen TV are also in this large area. Around the corner you will find the spacious master bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Large flat screen TV in the master as well. The guest bedroom on the main floor is a full-sized bed and very cozy. A large laundry room with two washers and three dryers is downstairs. Our home is located on the Big Tallapoosa River, not far from hwy. 48 bridge. We have over 250 feet of water front in a quiet cove. Our private boat dock has lounge chairs, an umbrella upstairs, a boat slip, and a sitting area down below. The neighborhood BOAT LAUNCH is RIGHT across the street! The main level of our home is a large area with dining table and chairs as well as a bar height counter with stools. Another section is devoted to watching the flat screen TV while resting on the leather sofa and other comfortable chairs. The kitchen is also on this level with high end stainless appliances. We have almost everything you could need in a kitchen: mixer, cookie sheets, slow cooker. There is a full bathroom on this level with tile floors and granite counter tops. This main level consists of 3 walls of windows and hickory hardwood floors. There are French doors leading from this level onto the covered deck facing the lake. There are chairs for shaded sitting while watching the fishing, skiing and swimming going on. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom is quite large with a laundry room and walk in closet. There is a king size bed, large leather recliner and a flat screen TV as well as a wardrobe for clothing. This room has windows facing the lake and French doors leading to a patio. The second bedroom has a full bed and a set of twin beds. The door between the full bedroom and the twin beds will close for additional privacy. This room also has French doors exiting onto the patio. The outdoor area has an outdoor stereo system, table and chairs for dining as well as Pottery Barn sofas for entertaining or napping and a new Weber gas grill. My little lake place is a condo so it has that condo feel. There are 3 bedrooms (2 Queen beds and a bunk room with a full bed on bottom and a twin on top. There are 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with nothings you would need to cook with. There is a bar to sit and eat or you may want to enjoy the outside patio with table and chairs that have a view. The complex has two nice pools. (one is more of a lap pool and the other more of a lounging playing pool. There are restrooms located new the pool. There is a grilling section by the pools, if you would like to show off your grilling skills. Also, for the kiddos there is a playground area. I have a boat slip on the property if you would like to bring a boat or rent one from someone local. The slip is labeled with my condo number Q3. There is a game room located on the third floor of the entrance. There are 2 elevators on the premises. One elevator is near the entrance and the other is closer to my unit. When you arrive and would like to unload you may pull your vehicle close to the condo and unload. You must park up close to the garages. The lower parking lot is for the owners. My condo is in the section facing Lake Martin and the 280 bridge. One awesome thing about renting here is that you are only 2 minutes from highway 280. Features a 42" flat screen television on wall with extended cable, DVD, stereo with surround sound, dining table with 4 chairs and 4 bar stools at breakfast bar. Master bedroom has King bed, Bedroom 2 has 2 twin beds and Bedroom 3 has daybed with twin size trundle bed that can be pulled out. Master bedroom has television with extended cable with BluRay player and Daybed room has TV with extended cable with DVD player. Stacks of DVD's available to watch for young and old. Additional table with 4 chairs on balcony. Balcony has an electric grill and there are two large charcoal grills in the public BBQ/Picnic area. Condo has 2 bathrooms, master bath has vanity, toilet combo tub/shower with jetted tub and second bathroom has vanity, toilet, combo tub/shower. All linens and beach towels provided. Keys: A key is not required to enter as there is a deadbolt lock featuring a keyless pad to enter. Smoking: No smoking in the condo; however, you are more than welcome to smoke outside on the patio. Deposit will not be returned if this rule is not adhered too. No pets allowed is for my benefit only. I am not saying the condo is hyper allergenic or has never had an pet inside. Cleaning: Upon leaving, please return the unit as you found it when you arrived. I kindly request that you (1) Tidy up any mess and pick up before leaving; (2) run dishwasher and clean appliances, etc.; (3) place all trash in trash receptacles located at the back of the parking lot. ***Newly Renovated*** Riverbend is a terrific lake front home on magnificent Lake Martin. Conveniently located just south of the Highway 280 bridge Riverbend offers instant relaxation with easy access. Riverbend is built around a fabulous great room which overlooks the lake and also includes: a woodburning stone fireplace, vaulted ceiling, expansive windows, a 40' LCD TV for the big game, and a bar between the kitchen making it perfect for entertaining. In the finished basement of the house are a pool table and a game/card table that makes this area perfect for the kids to play and not interrupt a good conversation upstairs. And when they go to bed, the area is custom made for a guys night in. This is a finished basement game room with a card table. You must access this room by going out onto the lakeside deck down the stairs to the entrance. *You will have to go outside to access this area.* The pool table is not 'top of the line' and is meant for casual play. Please don't expect much from our aging rental home pool table ;) There are 3 master suites (all having their own private bathrooms) and one 'bunk room' for a total of 4 bedrooms. The 'bunk room' is a converted carport and has four twin beds. This room is designed for kids and may not be suitable for adults in your party. There is no closet in this bedroom and no chest of drawers. A gently sloping lawn brings you to the lakefront that features a stone seawall, large pier, later for easy water access, and plenty of room for several boats. *No pets allowed. Harris Reservoir) is one of the cleanest lakes in the southeast, and is a great place for fishing, boating, kayaking, hunting and relaxing. Our house is only 8 miles from Town of Wedowee (East on Hwy 48) and 8 miles from Lineville (West Hwy 48) which both offers a few restaurants, grocery stores and friendly people. Roanoke is only 15 miles and has Wal-Mart and new Hospital to open in the Fall of 2017. This property is approximately a twenty minute vehicle ride from Cheaha State Park and 35 minutes from the Talladega Superspeedway. This home is a great place to escape for a relaxing getaway and enjoy the many amenities of the lake. The house is fun for all ages with a lot of activities including: hot tub, pool table, games, two canoes, fire pit and its own private dock for fishing and relaxing. There is enough bed space for 12, but if guests wish to bring an air mattress, the house could accommodate up to 14. Contact owner for details about this prior to booking. Our house will not accommodate groups larger than 14. The dock is equipped with Dock Lifeguard to detect if there is any electrical current in nearby waters. Our lake home includes WiFi and satellite television. The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchen supplies needed during your stay. The house is 3 stories with 4 bedrooms: Upper level suite has a king bed, sitting area, and private bathroom. There is a Sun Room with a perfect view of the lake on the top level of the house as well. The main level bedroom includes a king bed with an additional bathroom. The main floor also has an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area with a screened-in porch and large patio table for additional entertaining. - all with views of the lake. The bottom floor has two bedrooms: 1 bedroom with a queen bed and another bedroom with two bunk beds (queens on the bottom bunk) and a shared full bath on the bottom floor. There is a large gathering room on this level with a pool table and large TV area, also with lake views. The home includes a 55" flat screen television on the bottom floor and a 42" TV on the middle level. Also included is a gas grill located in the lower level fire-pit patio area. Some wood for fire-pit use is stacked here for guest use. Although we currently have 2 canoes available, guests may tie up their own boat in the available slip at our dock during their stay if they notify us in advance. There is a public launch nearby - just off Co. Rd. 240 in Crescent Crest Manor. Boats can also be rented at Wedowee Marine and Southern Boat Rentals. The main floor master has a bathroom across the hall. Both master bedrooms have their own tv. The spacious basement features multiple bedding options. The common area has a set of bunk beds. The third bedroom is filled with two full size beds and the smallest bedroom has a day bed with a trundle that can be rolled out. There are plenty of games and puzzles in the cabinet under the big screen television. This common room is a perfect spot for playing games at the table or watching movies as a family or cheering on your favorite team on the screen. Our home is located in a quiet area on the northern side of Lake Martin. We love being able to take advantage of the quiet and calm waters in the Madwind Creek portion of Lake Martin. We have a canoe, paddleboard and Maui Mat for your use. We are about 10 minutes from the Smith Mountain Fire tower if you are looking for some fun hiking trails and are up to the challenge of climbing the tower. There is a boat ramp just around the corner if you choose to bring your boat. We are 10 minutes from downtown Alexander City with some cute shopping and dining destinations. Auburn University is about 35 minutes away, an ideal day trip for a campus tour and some Toomer's Lemonade. This is our vacation home we visit on a regular basis. Escape to Lake Martin! "Blue Cottage on the Cove" is a new vacation home, built in 2020. This modern bungalow sits on 1.4 acres with 120 feet of waterfront on a peaceful cove perfect for swimming, kayaking and fishing. A large screened porch spanning the entire width of the house overlooks the lake. The porch features a bed swing, ceiling fans and plenty of seating. There is even an outdoor picnic table! Included for your enjoyment are two kayaks, lily pad, floating swim deck, and a waterfront fire pit for a perfect day at the lake from start to finish. The private dock with year-round water has a 28 foot slip for you to bring your boat or rent one at a nearby marina. You may enjoy fishing for striped, spotted and largemouth bass as well as bream from the dock and seawall. This is also a great spot for birdwatching. This home features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths to comfortably sleep 9. The well-equipped kitchen, large den and large master bedroom provide expansive views of the water. French doors in the den and master bedroom open onto the lakefront screened porch. In the kitchen, you will find everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. Other amenities, including a full-size washer and dryer, WIFI, and smart TV's in all the rooms will make your stay comfortable and complete. The master suite includes a large bath with double vanities and walk-in closet, as well as a small workspace. We provide bathroom essentials and white linens to give you a 5-star hotel feel. Outdoors, there is a privacy fence on one side and a wood line on the other so this place on the lake is private and peaceful. From the screened porch, it is 17 steps down to the waterfront. A small Green Egg is provided. All the furnishings are new to go with the new construction. Guest bedroom #1 sleeps four with built-in custom twin XL loft beds and a built-in queen underneath the loft and a Futon. Guest bedroom #2 sleeps three with a queen bed and a twin bed. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with incredible lake views and a separate French door to the screened porch. The master has its own bath with two vanities and a large shower, and there is a large walk-in closet. You will have the entire property to yourself during your stay. There is a new driveway from the paved roads leading to the house. In front of the house is a large circle drive with plenty of parking available. The home has its own floating dock that has a 28 foot boat slip, and there is year-round water. Although it is not marked, we ask you to respect our neighbors by treating the cove as a no wake zone. We are located 1.7 miles south of Highway 280 via Coven Abbett Highway in Alexander City, AL. It is a short, 10 minute drive to the nearest grocery store and several restaurants, as well as a nice movie theater. For college football weekends, it is 38 miles to the heart of Auburn University. For race fans, Talledega Superspeedway is a 66 mile drive. We are 5 minutes by boat or car from the nearest marina, and 3 minutes to the nearest public boat ramp. A 3.6 mile drive to the south on Coven Abbett Highway will take you to the 1,444 acre Wind Creek State Park. There you may enjoy the Zip Line Canopy Tours, mini golf, miles of hiking and biking trails, guided horseback riding, and archery. The Park is also the headquarters to numerous fishing tournaments each year.

Welcome to Lake Martin! Our lakefront home is new to VRBO and has a private boat ramp on the property so you can put your boat in the water without having to look for a public boat launch. We are the original owners of this home and have recently listed it on rental websites like VRBO and AirBnb. The home is at the end of a single lane dead-end drive, and is challenging to turnaround with a boat trailer. We would recommend either leaving your boat trailer at the public ramp around the corner off Point Windy Drive, or walking down the drive to ensure you are comfortable maneuvering with space available. Your personal boat dock is available to park your boat once you arrive via water! NOTE: Alabama Power drops Lake Martin's water level from full pool starting in October and begins increasing the water level in late February to mid-March. The change is seven to 10 feet so the water will be out past the dock during most of this time frame. Lake Martin is at full pool roughly from mid-March through early October.
